About Us

At C11 Films, we believe in the power of storytelling to inspire, connect, and leave a lasting mark. Since 2012, we have worked with passion and commitment to create content that transcends borders, blending creativity, quality, and an authentically Latin American vision.

 

Founded in Panama by Christian Escobar and Christopher Castagnet, C11 Films began its journey with Navidad x2 (2012), paving the way for milestones such as El Picaflor (2016), T’ACH and Minuto 87 (2018), and a key alliance with Corporación MEDCOM (2019), which brought MasterChef Panamá to life. In 2021, the company expanded its reach with original formats such as Bbqueen, Foodtruck Race, and Lo que Hace Única a Panamá.

In 2022, C11 Films returned to original series production with La Fonda, a 16 episode web series that portrays Panamanian daily life with humor and local flavor. In 2025, the company took a decisive step toward international growth with Dominicana Quiero Verte, its first production outside of Panama.

Today, C11 Films looks to the future with enthusiasm, embracing new challenges and reaffirming its commitment to leading the regional audiovisual industry with memorable, high-quality stories.

2012

Christian Escobar and Christopher Castagnet produce the first project under the C11 Films name: Navidad x2, a reality-style program showcasing the lives of Panama’s most talked-about couple at the time. With this launch, C11 Films officially entered the Panamanian audiovisual scene, beginning a new creative chapter defined by authenticity and local vision.

2016

A major milestone arrives with El Picaflor, a 22 episode telenovela written by acclaimed Latin American screenwriter Andrés Salgado and starring Jair Romero. More than just a captivating story, this production became a platform to highlight Panamanian talent, dedication, and the high standards of the country’s audiovisual industry.

2018

C11 Films steps into cinema with two documentaries: T’ACH and Minuto 87. These productions traveled to prestigious international festivals, where they were embraced by critics and audiences alike, marking the start of a path that blends authentic storytelling with world-class production quality.

2019

A strategic alliance is signed with Corporación MEDCOM, Panama’s largest media group. This partnership establishes C11 Films as its official production house and sparks the creation of the company’s first international franchise: MasterChef Panamá. The project reaffirmed the company’s operational strength, creative talent, and ability to lead high-level productions.

2021

C11 Films expands into original formats, developing and launching shows like Bbqueen, Foodtruck Race, and Lo que Hace Única a Panamá. These projects reinforced the company’s versatility and commitment to innovative content that resonates across television and digital platforms.

2022

The company returns to original series production with La Fonda, a 16 episode web series that uses humor and local flavor to portray everyday Panamanian life. This milestone strengthened C11 Films’ creative identity and showcased its ability to deliver unique, signature content.

2025

C11 Films takes a decisive step toward international expansion with its first production outside Panama: Dominicana Quiero Verte. This milestone not only broadened the company’s geographic reach but also reaffirmed its commitment to high-quality content that connects with audiences beyond borders, consolidating C11 Films as a regional leader in audiovisual production.
